The Role As a Design Engineer you’ll be a key part of the engineering team, contributing to the development of innovative products that set the standard in the industry. Your responsibilities will include: * Creating detailed 2D site layouts and 3D CAD designs. * Preparing comprehensive drawing packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production. * Driving process improvements to enhance time-to-market, product quality, and production cost-efficiency. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the opportunity to make a real impact on product innovation. The Person To excel in this role, you will have: * A minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. * At least 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer. * Experience designing products such as lifting/loading equipment, conveying systems, material handling equipment, or special-purpose machinery. * Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor or Creo (other packages such as SolidWorks or SolidEdge will also be considered). * Knowledge of Eurocodes, engineering principles, and stress analysis of steel structures (advantageous).
