White Label is hiring a Design Engineer for an engineering and manufacturing business based in Bradford. As a result of continued growthy my client is looking to expand the design team.
The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.
You will be a key member of the design team. This role involves producing detailed manufacturing drawings and CNC transmissions for Laser and Router Machines using SolidWorks and Signlab.
My client if offering a salary of up to Β£40,000 as well as company pension, life insurance, healthcare and more.
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer
* Design & Drafting: Use SolidWorks and/or Signlab to create precise manufacturing drawings, including sheet metal layouts, material specifications, colours, dimensions, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
* CNC Transmission & Drawings: Generate DXF transmissions and flat-pack drawings which will be used for CNC machine cutting.
* Problem-Solving: Address any queries from the Operations team or Shop floor swiftly and effectively.
* Job System Maintenance: Keep the in-house Microsoft Access Job System up to date, ensuring all work and transmissions are logged correctly for smooth job progression.
* Project Management Support: Collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate projects from start to finish, maintaining an efficient workflow between design and production.
Experience required of the Design Engineer
* Prior experience in sheet metal/fabrication would be advantageous.
* Previous experience with SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD packages). Signlab would be a major advantage. In-house product training will be provided as required. xiskglj
