Are you an Applications Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer looking for a role where you can combine your technical knowledge with customer interaction and commercial engineering?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well‑established engineering business that delivers bespoke engineering solutions to the food manufacturing and process industries across the UK.
Working on projects ranging from £100,000 to multi‑million‑pound installations, you'll play a key role in developing technical solutions for a wide range of customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where no two projects are the same, working closely with customers, sales and engineering teams from initial enquiry through to project handover.
The Role
As Technical Sales Engineer / Applications Engineer, you'll be responsible for producing technical proposals, preparing project costings and supporting the sales team with bespoke engineering solutions.
Projects include production line equipment, material handling systems and process machinery within the food manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Produce technical and commercial proposals
- Prepare accurate quotations and project costings
- Produce and modify equipment layouts using Solid Works or Auto CAD
- Review customer requirements and develop bespoke engineering solutions
- Provide technical support throughout the sales process
- Attend customer sites for surveys and technical meetings when required
- Liaise with Engineering, Procurement and Project Management teams to ensure successful project delivery
