The Role: The successful Control Systems Engineer will join the Software and Electrical department. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and modifying machine software for highly customisable machinery. You’ll ensure machinery functions precisely according to customer specifications, while also providing technical expertise across our service, electrical, and contracting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify PLC-based software and control systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and software systems
  • Collaborate with the Technical Documentation team for functional machine descriptions
  • Provide support during installations, diagnostics, and on-site assistance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety and industry standards

Skills & Experience:

  • HNC/Degree level qualification in Engineering
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and software systems
  • Experience in PLC programming and fault finding
  • Ability to work with electrical control systems, servo, and inverter drives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
