White Label is very excited to be working with our longstanding client who is now keen to expand their team with a Structural Manager. You'll be part of a rapidly growing business with a full order book, an excellent culture, a proud history and ambitious plans. The company specialises in bulk material handling and plant processing markets, offering services across sectors such as mining, tunnelling, quarrying, oil & gas, and more.
We are recruiting for a Structural Manager to be an integral part of the team. This role can be based in either Sunderland or Chorley depending on the distance of the individual (TBD).

Your Key Responsibilities
- Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/Structural engineering output, and on-time delivery in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure all Civil/Structural designs are code compliant, meet specification, safe in design, and consider lifecycle requirements.
- Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Bids with information and guidance.
- Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy.
- Promote Civil/Structural/equipment standardisation and re-use.
- Line management responsibilities and duties across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance and setting objectives to meet business and individual goals.
- Development of Civil/Structural engineering tools and processes that ensure designs are robust and outputs in line with scope.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStructE)
- Strong experience in a Civil/Structural engineering field.
- Knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards.
- Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred).
- Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
- Happy to travel between the two sites in the North West and North East a couple of times a month.
