White Label Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading engineering company in the Blackburn area, currently seeking a Project Manager with extensive manufacturing experience. They require a strong, hands-on leader to drive performance and delivery for manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance & Delivery: Drive engineering output and accountability; hold regular performance meetings and push progress against cost estimates. Identify risks early and establish contingency plans; investigate root causes when issues arise and lead recovery plans.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, production, and shop floor teams; ensure alignment across departments; challenge technical assumptions constructively.
- Project Governance: Monitor cost, scope, and timeline; maintain control in a non-process-driven SME environment.
Candidate Profile
- Essential Experience: Circa 10+ years of project management experience; proven delivery within SME manufacturing environments; background in bespoke capital equipment; experience in M&E environments; strong exposure to manufactured capital equipment projects.
- Critical Behaviours: Hands-on and practical approach; detail-oriented and commercially aware; technically credible with confidence to challenge; strong recovery and contingency planning mindset.
Salary & Working Hours
The company offers a salary of up to £60k, with flexible hours across four working days (Monday to Thursday) – the company is closed on Fridays.
