Are you a hands-on Mechanical Fitter looking for a secure workshop-based role with a leading engineering company?
We're recruiting for an established business specialising in the service, repair and overhaul of industrial pumps used across sectors including manufacturing, water, chemical processing, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals and utilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding rotating equipment in a modern workshop environment.
The Role
- Strip, inspect and rebuild a wide range of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and identify worn or damaged components.
- Carry out repairs, overhauls and performance testing.
- Complete workshop documentation and inspection reports.
- Work alongside an experienced engineering team in a busy workshop.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working on industrial pumps, rotating equipment or similar mechanical equipment.
- Mechanical fitting, maintenance or overhaul experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical qualifications or apprenticeship beneficial but not essential.
