The role of Drawing Office Manager involves overseeing the drafting, engineering, and detailing teams, ensuring compliance with company standards and legislative requirements.
My client is offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities of the Drawing Office Manager:
- Developing and implementing quality standards and procedures in the drawing office.
- Managing the design team on a day-to-day operational basis.
- Supervising workflow to ensure products are produced on time and to the highest quality.
- Coordinating weekly drawing office meetings to discuss current work and priorities.
- Ensuring all drawings comply with company standards and legislative/regulatory requirements.
- Managing the drawing office team, including Health, Safety and Environment aspects, resource management, staff development, and training.
- Responsible for reviews and approval of drawings to maintain required quality standards.
- Recognising any changes to specification and notifying the Project team immediately.
- Recording variations and collating associated survey/drawing hours.
- Maintaining a commercial awareness to ensure work is carried out within budget and all variations to contract are recorded and issued to the Project/Commercial departments.
- This role requires an understanding of Design Risk Assessments to assist in the workshop and site operations.
- It also involves further developing and implementation of processes for electronic filing and maintenance of records.
Experience required of the Drawing Office Manager:
- 5 years + experience in engineering/manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault Professional ideally.
- Experience using ERP file management.
- Experience in a previous Drawing Office Manager or similar role would be advantageous.
