White Label is working with an engineering and manufacturing business in Bradford that requires a CAD Engineer to join their team. As the CAD Engineer, you will be producing general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings for a variety of the client’s product range. My client is offering a salary of £35,000 - £45,000, as well as:
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- 1 day birthday leave on top of holiday allowance
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday with a 4:30 PM finish on Fridays

Responsibilities of the CAD Engineer:
- Working from designs provided by our Engineering Team, produce high-quality 3D models.
- Produce initial GA drawings to submit for customer approval and develop them into detailed manufacturing drawings, using Autodesk Inventor Software.
- Produce “As Built” drawings incorporating lessons learned from previous builds, working closely with our Operations Team.
- Liaise with our internal Engineering / Operations Teams and our external customers as part of ongoing project and R&D meetings.
- Offer suggestions for design changes to increase production efficiencies and optimize material usage.
- Communicate at all levels within the business, contribute ideas during design team meetings, and undertake site visits/customer meetings as required.
- Liaise with our Engineering and Operations teams to ensure our design/drawing fits within budget and highlight any expected cost increases due to design changes.
- Always ensure drawing accuracy and that program deadlines are met.
- Be customer-focused and committed to delivering excellent service.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken in compliance with our company’s internal design, safety, quality, and environmental processes.
Experience required of the CAD Engineer:
- Autodesk Inventor and Vault experience is essential.
- 3 years or more of experience in a similar role producing drawings.
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, HVAC, or similar sectors.
