The Role
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and highly organised Production Manager with a strong background in exhibitions and live events to join our growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of exhibition stands, brand activations, trade shows, and live event experiences.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional project management skills, strong supplier and client management experience, and a deep understanding of exhibition build processes and live event operations. You will work closely with creative, technical, and account teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You will manage all operational and technical delivery aspects of projects, coordinating suppliers, fabrication, AV, lighting, sound, logistics, crew and onsite activity. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys problem-solving and can confidently manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Manage end-to-end production delivery across multiple live events, exhibitions, and experiential projects
- Build and manage production schedules, budgets and key project documentation
- Prepare and manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project timelines and maintain quality control across all stages, including live event delivery
- Oversee onsite installations, live event delivery and de-rigs, ensuring projects run smoothly under tight timelines
- Coordinate all scenic and technical production elements including staging, set build, fabrication, logistics, AV, lighting, sound and crew
- Coordinate with creative teams and specialist suppliers to deliver all production elements
- Problem-solve effectively in fast-paced live environments and maintain high standards under pressure
- Client Management
- Liaise closely with clients, venues, suppliers and internal creative and production teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as a key technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Creative teams to interpret briefs and develop effective production solutions
- Contribute technical input during concept development, ensuring ideas are feasible and aligned with budget
- Supplier & Technical Management
- Manage suppliers, freelancers and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery across all project stages
- Coordinate fabrication, logistics, AV, lighting, sound and technical production requirements
- Liaise with specialist suppliers and venues to ensure technical and operational requirements are met
- Ensure all production elements are delivered to specification, budget and timeline
- Support the preparation of tender documents, pitches, and technical proposals
- Document & Process Management
- Oversee project administration, including documentation, reporting, and financial tracking
- Ensure health & safety compliance and operational best practice across projects
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules, budgets and production documentation
- Support operational planning and delivery processes across multiple projects
- Internal Team Management
- Support the wider production team with planning, logistics and technical coordination
- Work collaboratively with internal creative, production and project teams
- Assist with resource planning and coordination across multiple live projects
- Maintain strong communication across internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years’ experience in a Production Manager role within events, experiential or creative agency environments
- Strong technical knowledge, including lighting, sound, AV, rigging, and event infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation
- Proven experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously across different scales and formats
- Strong experience managing clients, stakeholders and internal teams
- Excellent project planning and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and strong ownership of documentation and process
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, proactive and solutions-focused under pressure
- Commercially aware with strong budget management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience across live, hybrid and digital events desirable
- Flexible approach to onsite work, travel and live event schedules
- Sense of humour essential
Technical Skills
- Proficient in G Suite / Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of Procim
- Experience using project management and workflow tools
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms
