HGV Driver / Warehouse Operative – £33,800 per annum Are you an experienced HGV driver looking to spend less time on the road? Would you enjoy a varied role where you can combine driving with hands-on warehouse work in a friendly team? If you’re ready for a change from long days behind the wheel, this could be a great next move. The role We are looking for an HGV Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our dedicated Logistics Team. This is not a typical HGV driving role. You’ll spend around two hours each day driving, with trips of less than 200 metres between our facilities. The rest of your shift will be spent working alongside the warehouse team. As an HGV Driver / Warehouse Operative, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety, regular Monday-to-Friday hours and much less time on the road. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day duties will include: * Transporting goods safely between our facilities * Receiving incoming goods * Picking and packing orders * Preparing items ready for dispatch * Checking goods and maintaining accurate records * Supporting general warehouse activities * Keeping a high level of accuracy and attention to detail About our company You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and enthusiastic Logistics Team where everyone plays their part in keeping goods moving efficiently. The Benefits As an HGV Driver / Warehouse Operative, you can expect: * Starting salary of £33,800 per annum * Monday to Friday working * Shift hours between 6am and 6pm * Approximately two hours of driving per day * No long-distance driving * A varied role combining driving and warehouse work * Full training on warehouse duties where required * A friendly and supportive working environment The person We’re looking for someone who is reliable, practical and happy to get involved with different tasks throughout the day. You will need: * A full, valid Category C driving licence or equivalent * Previous professional driving experience * Good attention to detail * A positive and reliable approach to work * The ability to work effectively as part of a team Previous warehouse experience would be useful, but it is not essential as training will be provided.
