1to1 Group are recruiting for a Security and Safety Officer to join our client in Winchester, on a temporary basis, working part-time, 3 days per week. You must be physically fit to be outside and on your feet in all weathers, you will have an empathy with the needs and interests of young people, with the confidence to assert your authority when necessary. Previous experience in security work is not essential.
Responsibilities
- Patrolling the grounds and buildings to provide a visible and reassuring security presence.
- Monitoring behaviour in common areas.
- Watching for unauthorised visitors on site, challenging if it is safe to do so and reporting as necessary.
- Reporting cleaning or maintenance issues for attention.
- Assisting with directing traffic if required.
- Responding to emergencies as required, including assisting with directing emergency vehicles on site.
- Ensuring that all incidents and near misses are recorded on the daily log and reported, particularly where there is a health and safety risk.
- Reviewing CCTV footage when requested.
Qualifications and expectations
You must be physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Previous experience in security work is not essential; empathy with the needs and interests of young people and the ability to assert authority when necessary are important.
