White Horse Employment are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, global market leading business to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the group's core accounting activities while helping to shape the future direction of the team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the accounting function across multiple entities, overseeing areas such as statutory reporting, audit, consolidations, tax, and financial controls. Alongside the technical responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in developing the finance team, improving culture and ways of working, and driving projects focused on systems, processes, and continuous improvement.
The Role
- Full ownership of the group accounting function, including statutory reporting, consolidations, audit, tax, and financial controls
- Lead, develop, and mentor an international finance team, creating a high-performing and collaborative culture
- Manage external auditors, advisors, and key financial stakeholders
- Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the group
- Drive improvements to finance processes, controls, and governance frameworks
- Lead and support finance transformation and business improvement projects
- Partner with senior leadership to provide insight and support strategic decision-making
About You
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified accountant
- Strong technical accounting background with experience in audit, consolidations, statutory reporting, and tax
- Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams
- Experience improving processes, controls, and systems within a growing organisation
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
