White Horse Employment are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business based in Melksham, who are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant into their Group Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring accountant who is looking to build a long-term career in finance. The role offers hands-on, practical experience within a Group environment, exposure to reporting, audit and IFRS, and a strong platform to progress through a professional accounting qualification.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with monthly Group reporting for orders, revenue and overheads
- Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
- Posting journals and carrying out analytical reviews of financial information
- Supporting annual and interim financial reporting processes
- Assisting with the statutory accounts and annual audit for several entities
- Helping complete ONS surveys and supporting corporation tax and transfer pricing work
- Raising purchase requests and setting up projects within the ERP system
- Supporting internal audits and ad-hoc finance projects as required
About You
- Degree educated (2:1 or above) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related subject
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in accounting
- Proactive, eager to learn and able to work well within a team
- Confident communicator with good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Any relevant work experience (placement, internship or part-time role) is advantageous but not essential
