This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded accountant to take full ownership of a business unit, playing a key role in driving performance, improving processes, and influencing decision‑making. The position offers clear progression into senior leadership positions, with the opportunity to expand your remit across multiple business units as you develop within the organisation.

The Role

  • Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts with insightful analysis and commentary
  • Taking full ownership of the financial performance of a business unit, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Partnering with operational stakeholders to support strategic and commercial decision‑making
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes, controls, and reporting to drive efficiency and accuracy
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and key financial controls
  • Working closely with the wider finance function to ensure consistency and best practice

About You

  • Proven experience in a management accounting or similar commercial finance role
  • Ideally fully qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA but will accept part qualified candidates
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight
  • Proactive and commercially aware, with a desire to add value beyond the numbers
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships across the business
  • Driven, ambitious, and keen to progress into a more senior leadership role
