Payroll Manager in Devizes

White Horse Employment is pleased to be partnering exclusively with our client to recruit a Payroll Specialist to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to play a key role in delivering a high-quality, client-focused service, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate processing of payrolls, ensuring all requirements are met in line with current legislation. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will support businesses of different sizes, delivering a reliable and tailored payroll service to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll operations across a diverse client base, from initial processing through to completion.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the payroll team.
• Ensure all payroll runs are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain adherence to HMRC requirements, tax and pension regulations, statutory deductions and employment legislation.
• Oversee payroll submissions, reporting requirements and annual year-end processes.
• Review payroll procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Keep up to date with legislative developments and adapt payroll practices accordingly.
• Prepare client-specific reports and provide guidance on payroll queries, legislation and best practice.
• Build positive client relationships and identify ways to enhance processes and service standards.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in bureau, practice or multi-client payroll.
• Knowledge of PAYE, RTI, pensions and statutory payments.
• Experience managing multiple clients and payroll schedules.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
