We’re delighted to be partnering with a high-growth retail business based in Bristol to appoint a Commercial Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, data-driven organisation where you’ll play a key role in driving performance, supporting decision‑making, and shaping future growth. Being part of the SLT and working closely with commercial, operations, and marketing teams, you’ll combine hands‑on financial management with strategic business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with commercial, operations, and marketing teams to translate data into clear actions that drive performance and influence decision‑making.
- Lead the creation of insightful reporting, analytics, dashboards, and KPIs that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.
- Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning, ensuring robust P&L and capex management.
- Oversee month‑end delivery with the finance teams, ensuring accurate results while continually improving processes and visibility.
- Provide clear, impactful performance reviews and financial insights to senior leadership, supporting strategic initiatives such as pricing, product profitability, and investment appraisal.
- Maintain balance sheet integrity, manage one direct report, and be the driver of efficient, scalable finance practices across the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering within fast‑paced environments (e‑commerce or retail advantageous).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight.
- Excellent Excel skills; Power BI or similar desirable.
- Confident communicator able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
