White Horse Employment are proud to be partnering with a well-established and growing business based in Malmesbury, to support their search for an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive finance team where you will be a vital part of both the credit control and purchase ledger functions. The business has a strong reputation within its industry with the role offering excellent exposure across transactional finance and the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and friendly working environment.
A day-to-day will include:
- Credit Control – Chasing overdue payments via phone, email and post, maintaining customer records, resolving invoicing queries, and reviewing aged debt and credit limits.
- Purchase Ledger – Entering and matching invoices, reconciling supplier statements, maintaining supplier accounts, and processing fortnightly payment runs.
- Banking & Transactions – Recording bank transactions, daily reconciliations of subsidiary accounts, and reconciling card receipts.
- Records & Reporting – Supporting the wider finance team with reporting on debtors and KPIs, creating new customer and supplier accounts, and ensuring system accuracy.
- Ad Hoc & Projects – Assisting the finance team with general administrative support and other finance-related tasks and projects.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in purchase ledger and some exposure to credit control.
- Is well-organised, methodical, and confident communicating over the phone.
- Has good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Works well in a team and is keen to support wider finance functions.
