We are seeking a qualified dental nurse to provide temporary cover for our busy dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the dental team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining efficient practice operations. Duties
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures with preparation and post-treatment care
- Ensuring patient comfort and providing reassurance throughout their visit
- Maintaining strict infection control and sterilisation protocols in line with health and safety regulations
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and updating treatment notes as required
- Providing comprehensive patient care, including pre- and post-operative instructions
- Supporting administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and liaising with patients effectively
- Upholding organisational standards to ensure smooth daily operations of the practice
- Communicating clearly with patients and team members to facilitate effective teamwork and patient satisfaction
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent registration
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with IT systems used in dental practices for record keeping and scheduling
- Excellent interpersonal skills to support patient comfort and team collaboration
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and work effectively under pressure
