Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for:

A large retailer in Food is now looking for a Senior Operations Manager of graduate caliber with at least 6 years of experience gained within an FMCG background.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively plan all distribution operations on behalf of the retailer to continually strive to improve service and reduce costs.
  2. Ensure delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through management of core processes and driving continuous improvement through efficient use of the company’s physical and human assets.
  3. Maximize the performance of the operation by directing daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  4. Provide leadership, motivation, training, and development of the team, delivering against customer requirements and operational performance.
  5. Manage 3 warehouse shift managers and 100 warehouse staff.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Achievement of operational performance as defined by KPIs.
  2. Achievement of overall Distribution budget.
  3. Achievement of personal development objectives.
  4. Achievement of Health and Safety directives.
