A large Car Manufacturer is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Graduate calibre.
  • 5 years experience in logistics management role.
  • Customer Management at a level.
  • Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
  • Succession planning & development of managers.
  • IT literate.
  • Finance/Profit & Loss Management.
  • Project Management.
  • Min 3 years Manufacturing logistics experience.
  • People Leadership.
  • Commercial Acumen.
  • Negotiating and Contracting.
  • Identifying key issues and priorities.
  • Leading and Managing Change.
  • Business English.
  • Achieving results in complex/ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, and a motivated workforce.
  • Work in partnership with the customer and formulate relationships within the customer network.
  • Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement and demonstrate effective communications with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
  • Manage a diverse team to fulfil business requirements and prioritise effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
  • React to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule and manage the effects of New Model introduction on workforce flexibility.
  • Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expectation level as deemed by the contract with the customer and contribute to the broader commercial environment.
