A large Car Manufacturer is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution. Must be a Graduate calibre. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in logistics management role.

To maximise the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, a motivated workforce, and succession planning. Working in partnership with the customer and formulating relationships within the customer network. To integrate new working patterns in order to effect continuous improvement.

Be able to actively demonstrate effective communications with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base. Manage a diverse team in order to fulfil business requirements and prioritise effectively so there is no detriment to the customer targets and volumes. Maintain an ability to react to changes in volumes, as outlined by the customer master schedule, and the effect New Model introduction has in terms of flexing the workforce. Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to a level of expectation as deemed by the contract with the customer. Be aware of and contribute to the broader commercial environment.
