You will be responsible for sewing and altering garments to the highest standard in a timely and professional manner.
You hold a strong commitment to creating exceptionally well-made garments and take pride in maintaining excellence in your work. You communicate clearly and effectively with your teammates and your Lead. You maintain and look to expand your knowledge of materials and methods used in performing sewing and mending activities.
Main Responsibilities- Garment Tailoring and Alteration: Execute high-standard alterations using both machine and hand-sewing techniques.
- Proven experience in sewing, tailoring, and garment construction.
- Skilled in both machine and hand sewing.
- Comfortable working with lightweight and specialty fabrics.
- Detail-oriented with strong craftsmanship standards.
- Hand Sewing Skills: Basting (especially canvas for fittings) and sewing buttons by hand.
- Machine Operation: Operate industrial sewing machines like flatbed, overlocker, buttonholer, etc.
- General Sewing Tasks: Hemming trousers; taking in jackets and waistcoats.
- Workspace Management: Keep your station clean and tools well-maintained; work effectively within a close-knit tailoring team.
