Position Purpose

Perform operations and maintenance duties on White Energy critical utilities such as Cooling Towers, RO’s Filters, Boilers and all associated equipment and laboratory testing, including monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment in compliance with standard operation procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Prepares monthly report of equipment repairs, downtime, personnel activities and preventative maintenance for Maintenance Manager.
  • Communicate all repairs and/or modifications can be made to CO supply system running to the CO2 facility and assist with repairs as necessary.
  • Assist in repairs of equipment so the plants remain operational and in production.
  • Contact vendors and consult manuals for information as needed.
  • Assign preventative maintenance duties.
  • Machines and tools knowledge for operation.
  • Performing routine maintenance.
  • Backups and supports Maintenance Manager by offering direction, assistance and training.
  • Oversees or prevention of any equipment malfunction.
  • Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain electrical and plumbing.
  • Excellent communication skills both written or verbal.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.

Required Knowledge & Experience/Skills/Abilities

  • Prior experience supervising employees.
  • 4+ years general maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the operation of a dry-mill ethanol plant preferred.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and possesses a proven results orientation.

Physical Requirements

This job may require lifting, up to 50 pounds frequently.
