Commis Chef
The world famous White Cross (a.k.a. The Pub that Floods) is the only traditional pub on the Richmond riverfront, and has long been a part of every day life for Richmond locals. Situated on a beautiful stretch of the Thames, there is no better place to be for a relaxing pint by the fire on a cold winter's day, or soaking up the sun with a spritz in hand in the summer - not to mention breathtaking views to enjoy throughout the year. Our menu is simple yet classic, as we aim to showcase the best of premium seasonal British cuisine to the whole world who come and visit us.
It is also one of the only remaining pubs where you can, quite literally, be flooded in! The Thames in Richmond is tidal, which means several days a month the tide is high enough to come into the garden. If it is exceptionally high, then enjoy the feeling of being marooned in a pub with a pint of beer or a glass of wine as nature won't allow you to leave (not a bad excuse we think!)
Our team are the bedrock of the pub, who understand that we represent all that is best about British pub life; joining us means having the honour and privilege of helping run one of the most unique and famous pubs in the UK, whilst having heaps loads of fun to boot!
So please apply and pop in next time you’re in Richmond - Ben & the team can’t wait to welcome you.
