We are looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our friendly team at White Cross Vets, Coulby Newham. The practice is Cat Friendly ISFM silver rated and we’re working towards our Dog Friendly clinic award. Located close to the North Yorkshire Moors with coast, countryside and city life nearby, we are easily accessible by transport links.
Our facilities include a spacious practice with a large prep area, theatre, x-ray room, 4 consult rooms, and a recently upgraded kennel area with separate cattery and isolation wards. Equipment includes dental x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameters, warming infusion pumps, bair huggers, syringe driver, and lab facilities such as haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, ACTH, T4, and microscopy. Our nurse team runs clinics including weight management, behaviour, and senior clinics for older patients. We are supported by a Clinical Lead with specialist credentials and a team of experienced RVNs and client care staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and surgical care for small animal patients as an experienced Small Animal Vet.
- Work 20 hours across 2 or 3 days with inclusion in the Saturday rota; there is no requirement for Out of Hours.
- Share of Saturdays is 1:5 with TOIL.
- Support both surgical and medical preferences and participate in clinical coaching if desired; contribute to team development.
- Collaborate with a team that includes Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, HVN, VCA, SVN, and Client Care Co‑Ordinators; help maintain cat and dog friendly standards and clinic awards.
Qualifications
- Experienced Small Animal Vet.
- Interest in clinical coaching is advantageous.
