We are seeking a knowledgeable, confident Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team at White Cross Vets on a full‑time basis. The practice is well equipped with modern facilities, including dental X‑ray, digital X‑ray, a new ultrasound machine, an in‑house laboratory and Sedivue. We currently have two veterinary surgeons (a third returning soon), two Registered Veterinary Nurses, and a Student Veterinary Nurse supporting the nursing team. The clinic is also staffed by a Head Receptionist and a Client Care Coordinator, creating a friendly and well‑supported working environment. We operate within the IVC Evidensia group, the UK and Europe’s leading veterinary care group, which supports over 900 practices and referral hospitals. Our teams share best practices and collaborate closely with neighbouring clinics in Stanningley, Guiseley and Roundhay.

As Head Veterinary Nurse you will provide senior clinical and professional leadership for the nursing team, overseeing all nursing aspects of the practice and supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient and client care. You will be responsible for setting and maintaining nursing standards, leading clinical governance and quality improvement activity, and developing a capable, confident nursing team. Working closely with the wider practice leadership team you will play a key role in shaping culture, performance and ways of working. Full‑time role working 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, including a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota.
