Job Title:
Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Location:
County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Direct Reports:
4 direct reports, overseeing a team of between 25-30 people.
Reporting to:
Director of Supply Chain / General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Championing health and safety on site ensuring that a safe working environment exists for all colleagues and that, as a minimum, the department meets the standards set out in relevant health, safety and environmental policies.
- Managing financial budgets to optimise efficiencies, waste, yield and labour.
- Manage logistics, transportation, and distribution to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate with third party transport providers to optimise supply chain operations.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, stock management, and space utilization.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team working across a rotating 24/7 shift pattern fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, carrying out and implementing process improvement projects.
- Monitoring departmental KPIs, challenging the team to deliver improvements.
- Daily liaison across multiple departments (commercial, financial, warehousing, transport, IT, H&S, facilities, HR) so an ability to communicate effectively, build rapport and influence will be expected.
- Manage staffing rota, weekly payroll, and holidays of team.
- Meticulous attention to detail with careful and precise approach to tasks.
Qualifications/Education:
- 5 yrs experience of strong supply chain management experience including logistics, goods in, stock control and the management of third party logistics.
- Proven experience of implementing, measuring and achieving KPIs by driving best practice.
- Evidence strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient I.T. skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Proven experience of managing a team across various shift patterns within a fast-moving organisation with fluctuating activity levels.
- Demonstrable experience of managing, coaching and mentoring a team beyond 15+ employees to deliver results.
- Be highly organised, with excellent written and verbal communication and an attention to detail.
- Ability to openly and constructively challenge at all levels of the business.
Desired:
- Degree or equivalent in warehouse management or logistics.
- Experience in working with digital inventory management & ERP systems particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.
- Awareness of Lean practices.
About the Candidate:
As a Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will be a key member of the site management
team and will take responsibility for driving forward production performance as well as
meeting supply chain requirements for the site. You are a proactive manager with strong
experience of hands-on leadership in warehouse and logistics environment, ideally but not
essentially in the food industry.
Salary & Benefits:
