We are seeking a proactive Technical Coordinator to support the Technical Department in ensuring seamless operations within the food and beverage industry. In this role, you will be the backbone of technical administration, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement while working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative support to the Technical Manager and team members.
- Act as a key liaison between departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth communication.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Keep technical staff informed of updated procedures and protocols.
- Manage data flow into and out of the Technical Department.
- Coordinate audits, compile statistical reports, and maintain compliance records.
- Prepare detailed technical reports for management review.
- Represent the Technical Department in meetings and discussions.
- Draft and update specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Recommend system and process improvements based on findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical databases.
- Organise and facilitate customer audits to ensure adherence to industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Quality Auditor or in a similar technical role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality procedures and systems (e.g., HACCP, BRC, ISO).
- Science-based A-levels (e.g., Chemistry, Biology) are desirable.
- A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, or Food Science is preferred.
- Experience within specifications is a must.
