The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Accountable for ensuring all product and non-product related change that go through the 3 site change processes.
  • Responsible for the Product Launch Process (PLP).
  • Manage the factory scale-up stage of new developments in line with site procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ensure all product quality, operational and financial information is clearly captured and communicated post trials.
  • Understand, adhere to, and challenge the critical path of all NPD Projects to ensure an on-time launch.
  • Ensure the Product Development process is followed and that each stage is completed accurately, documented, and communicated through to key stakeholders.
  • Lead post-launch reviews with a view to implementing continuous improvement.
  • Play an active role in customer visits/pre-production/launches.
  • Update on progress to key stakeholders.
  • Refine the launch process and key documentation when required.
  • Lead in audits to demonstrate paperwork and procedure compliance.
  • Responsible for the Specifications Amend Process (SAP) and Site Change Process (SCP).
  • Ensure forms are filled in correctly and in sufficient detail.
  • For large scale change, ensure a plan is in place to communicate the ‘why’ relating to the change, not just the ‘what’.
  • Ensure forms are signed off before progressing to change.
  • Run the weekly meeting where required; recording weekly actions for completion and noting when changes are completed.
  • Ensure all changes are clearly communicated across site and issues are escalated as and when required.
  • Match or exceed PLP, SAP and SCP objectives that have been agreed.
  • Participate in existing product development where required.
  • Lead packaging innovation trials and feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Control all development expenditure in line with agreed budgets.
  • Ensure programmes of staff performance review, PDPs, succession planning and training are in place.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects happening concurrently.
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships to influence project success.
  • Experience working in a gated concept to launch process, leading, and owning the required parts.
  • An excellent working understanding of food manufacturing processes.
  • Understand the required paperwork and standards, and what is needed to generate them.
  • Experience of leading a successful team, including facilitating performance management, talent management, and engagement initiatives.
  • Experience of working with packaging not limited to plastics, cardboard and artwork designs.
  • Soft skills training (or plan to be in place).
