Our Business Development & Marketing team plays a critical role in enhancing the Firm’s reputation, expanding its client base and driving revenue growth. This team develops and implements strategic marketing plans to promote the Firm’s legal services, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences. They conduct market research to identify industry trends and client needs, positioning the Firm competitively within the legal marketplace. The team also manages client relationships, orchestrates business development initiatives, and seeks opportunities for partnerships and networking. Through compelling content creation, event planning and public relations efforts, they ensure that the Firm maintains a strong market presence and continues to attract and retain clients.
The Senior Advisor, Business Development provides professional support and guidance within Business Development teams on matters such as new business acquisition or client management. This role contributes to the preparation of client pitches and proposals, conducting detailed analysis and investigations to identify opportunities and improvements to existing processes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supports the implementation and delivery of Business Development strategies, contributing to initiatives at the operational and tactical level.
- Assists in the preparation of thorough research and complex analysis for client pitch opportunities.
- Maintains close relations with key clients and industry groups to understand their needs and provide relevant solutions and support.
- Proactively identifies and contributes to improvements in existing Business Development practices, offering solutions to enhance efficiencies and results.
- Assists in tracking and reporting on Business Development KPIs, ensuring the team's progress aligns with set objectives.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to support a seamless integration of Business Development processes with related teams and disciplines.
- Contributes to the creation and execution of client engagement initiatives, enhancing the reputation of the business in its professional service offering.
- Ensures documentation and processes comply with industry standards, maintaining the ethical integrity and professional conduct.
- Supervisors at this level will lead a team of junior professionals and/or coordinators, delegating and facilitating the work of others within established procedures and practices.
- Individual contributors at this level will coordinate and review work within the team, providing guidance to less experienced members.
- Providing professional support to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems and operational challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
- Specialist-level knowledge in own discipline and good knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently conduct detailed analysis, investigate issues and identify solutions, seeking guidance only on atypical or complex issues.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members and occasionally external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience and relevant professional certification/qualification where appropriate to the discipline.
