Our Communications and Media Relations team is essential for shaping the Firm’s public image and managing its interactions with the media. Our team crafts and disseminates press releases, media statements and other communications to highlight the Firm’s achievements, legal victories and superb insights. We build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure positive coverage and handle media inquiries with professionalism and accuracy. The team also oversees internal communications, ensuring that employees are informed about key initiatives and developments. Additionally, we manage the Firm’s social media presence, create engaging content and monitor public perception to proactively address any potential issues. Through strategic communication efforts, our team ensures that the Firm’s reputation remains strong and its messaging consistent across all platforms.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Video Specialist to join our Content Production team. The Content Production team sits within the broader Global Communications function and is responsible for producing high-quality video and audio content that supports internal communications and external marketing communications. Based in London and working closely with producers and marketing leadership in New York, the Video Specialist will own end-to-end production of a wide range of projects. This includes planning and executing video and audio recording sessions, operating cameras and audio equipment, working and collaborating with in-house video producers and external freelance crews, directing high-level talent in various locations, editing footage, and delivering polished assets that adhere to Firm brand guidelines and technical standards. The role requires a mix of creative vision, technical expertise and strong collaboration skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as camera operator and manage video shoots end-to-end, including on-site setup, framing, lighting and sound
  • Set up and run audio podcast recording sessions
  • Work with producers in New York to plan shoots, align on creative direction and ensure deliverables meet project objectives and brand standards
  • Film interviews and b-roll footage across multiple formats and framing requirements
  • Conduct on-camera interviews and direct talent as needed
  • Serve as technical editor and finalize projects, including color correction and grading, and audio enhancement
  • Create multicam sequences
  • Create motion graphics that align with approved templates and brand guidelines
  • Contribute to video concept ideation with producers, creative staff and stakeholders
  • Remotely direct freelance crews as well as local office AV and technology teams to capture optimal image and sound quality across multiple locations and remote recording platforms
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot technical equipment, including lighting, remote pickups, and camera and audio equipment
  • Manage and upkeep current equipment
  • Maintain and up-to-date list of any future equipment needs and recommend upgrades that support evolving production requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a videographer and/or video editor, preferably in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment
  • High quality portfolio of film/video production
  • Undergraduate degree in film or equivalent
  • Expertise in using current industry-standard video equipment, including BlackMagic cameras
  • Proficiency with video studio equipment, network, and operations
  • Ability to speak to video production with authority, including sound and lighting
  • Experience in live event production a plus
  • Experience directing video shoots and conducting on-camera interviews a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Proactive team player comfortable working with colleagues and stakeholders across various locations and time zones
  • Professional demeanor with high degree of comfort speaking to internal clients including senior management
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Audition and DaVinci Resolve a plus

Location

  • This role is based in London.
  • Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a requirement for 4 days (Monday – Thursday) in the office per week.
