Are you ready to make your mark as part of the Global Finance Team in our London office? The Global Finance team, led by CFO Steve Wrede, consists of around 280 members worldwide. Aligned with our 2025 strategy for profitable growth, our core functions include billing, statutory accounting, management reporting, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements. We operate seamlessly across our global offices, fostering a multicultural and supportive environment.
The Financial Management team remit includes partner compensation and the maintenance of partner equity accounts; strategic procurement of vendor services; global tax strategies; inventory management, and finally analysis of the profitability of clients, matters and groups of timekeepers. We work with partners and with other business services groups to establish hourly billing rates as well as client-specific fee arrangements. Our Treasury team is responsible for global cash management, foreign currencies, and hedging.
In consultation with Firm leaders, we set annual global revenue and expense budgets across Regional Sections and offices, including legal and business service departments. The team continuously reviews expenditure throughout the year to ensure that the Firm's resources are being used efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe EMEA Revenue Manager has complete responsibility for the effectiveness of the Firms billing and collections for their specific practice groups, across 10+ offices in EMEA, ranging from London to the Middle East and to South Africa. In this role they will work directly with:
- Partners and other lawyers
- EMEA revenue controllers
- Manila billing team
- Senior members of EMEA Revenue team
Personally, and through their team they are responsible for achieving specific targets such as:
- Monthly billing/collections
- Ageing targets
- Lock-up period reduction goals
To achieve this, they will be responsible for:
- Managing all phases of the inventory cycle
- Overseeing WIP and AR across all EMEA sections and offices and provide regular reports on the same
- Target setting & billing/collection drive management
- Working closely with partners and local Finance managers in region to deliver results
- Monitoring inventory levels and related exposure on fixed/capped fee matters
- Monitoring exposures to clients and recommending appropriate actions
- Supporting and preparing Regional Section Heads for quarterly Executive Committee meetings by providing various detailed information and reporting and forecasting / analysis on Section performance to date against prior year and against budget
- Working with the Firms Global Finance team to help deliver the effective implementation of a Firmwide inventory management system.
Experience of having led a revenue/credit control function before. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, ability to work effectively at all levels within an organization. Relevant and in-depth revenue control experience. Law firm experience with knowledge of SAR and VAT preferred but not essential. Have the ability to inspire trust and confidence from both internal and external clients, especially partners. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to deal with difficult situations. Must be self-motivated, highly organized, accurate, with an attention to detail and be able to work with minimal supervision. Flexible and enthusiastic with the ability to manage own workload and priorities to meet deadlines. Computer literate including at least an intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel. Strong numerical skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Experience in using Elite, 3E, Aderant or similar PMS system. Additional languages helpful but not required.

Location and ReportingThis role is based in our London office and reports to the Director, Financial Management. Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
