Technology Services team is integral to maintaining the Firm’s overall technology, mobile and desktop devices, and core infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure and efficient operations. Technology Services is a single global operation with representation in each of the Firm’s offices. Additionally, we have shared service centers in Tampa and Manila, supporting a wide range of technologies and operations. In addition to overseeing critical enterprise systems and providing world-class client service to our global user community, we are committed to achieving a balance between new and innovative technologies while constantly ensuring data security and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

The Cloud Operations Engineer will be part of a team responsible for administering and operating the Firm's worldwide infrastructure, with a particular focus on cloud platforms and collaboration services. This includes providing cloud administration and engineering support across Microsoft 365, Google Suite and cloud-based AI tools, supporting platform maturation and service adoption, and ensuring that applications, services and infrastructure are operated in line with Firm standards. The role is central to maintaining resilient and secure technology services, supporting operational efficiency and underpinning our strategic use of cloud technologies.

Working closely with various teams, including but not limited to Operations, Business Services, Support Services and regional Shared Services centers, the Cloud Operations Engineer will act as a key point of coordination for operational escalations, complex issues and platform onboarding activities. The role also contributes to design documentation and technical artefacts, supports service transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU) and helps mature operational support capabilities across the Firm.

We are keen to meet people who work most comfortably in a fast-paced environment and who can review, analyze and manage a busy schedule of operational and engineering activity with multiple moving parts. We expect our Cloud Operations Engineers to be comfortable working across multiple cloud platforms, interpreting technical information, identifying issues in configurations and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cloud administration and engineering support across core platforms, including:
    • Microsoft 365 core services (Entra, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, MS Teams)
    • Google Suite core services
    • Cloud AI tools (Gemini, Claude, Copilot)
  • Act as a 3rd Line Subject Matter Expert (SME) for operational escalations and complex issues, collaborating with global teams to resolve incidents and improve service stability.
  • Support project-based engineering and technical delivery across cloud applications, including configuration, implementation and participation in Firm initiatives focused on Infrastructure and Cloud technologies.
  • Produce low-level design (LLD) documentation and technical artefacts, and conduct technical testing, validation and evaluation of solutions and configurations.
  • Support platform onboarding activities for new services, teams and capabilities, driving service transition to BAU including structured handover and training to L3 and L2 support teams.
  • Work with global teams to mature operational support capability and ensure adherence to security, governance and compliance standards across all activities.
  • Actively monitor new and emerging cloud-related technologies, trends, issues and solutions, providing input on opportunities to enhance Firm infrastructure and services.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 2–5 years' experience working with cloud applications, with exposure to platform maturity and service adoption initiatives.
  • Exposure to project-based delivery and engineering activities, with a good understanding of application and infrastructure design and conceptual thinking.
  • Ability to work in teams of highly skilled technical professionals, with professional experience working effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, technology teams and end users in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated through extensive experience facilitating regular touchpoint calls and meetings.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, capable of grasping new concepts without prior experience.
  • Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible and creative, with the ability to travel or work overtime as needed.
  • Fluency in English; international experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience working within a global law firm or professional services environment, supporting enterprise infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with technologies such as virtualization, cloud, networking, storage, collaboration services and security in a complex global environment.
  • Familiarity with shared services models, including Service Desk and Operations functions that monitor Firm systems 24 x 7.
