We are seeking an experienced and reliable Handyman to support the day-to-day maintenance of a property portfolio. The role involves carrying out a wide range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring properties remain safe, compliant, and well-presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake general maintenance works across the property portfolio, including:
  • Joinery/carpentry repairs
  • Basic plumbing tasks
  • Minor electrical works
  • Painting and decorating
  • Grounds maintenance and gardening
  • Complete check-in and check-out inspections, ensuring detailed reports and documentation are produced.
  • Maintain a log of all statutory certifications (e.g., gas, electrical, fire safety) and ensure all buildings remain compliant.
  • Conduct routine property inspections and identify required repairs or improvements.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with management and external contractors when required.
  • Ensure safe working practices and compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain the supplied work van, tools, and equipment in good condition.
  • Requirements

    • A trade background is essential, with relevant qualifications or proven time-served experience in a maintenance or building trade.
    • Strong practical skills across multiple repair and maintenance disciplines.
    • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and problem-solve effectively.
    • Good communication skills and a professional approach when working in occupied properties.
    • Full UK driving licence (van provided).

    Working Hours

    • 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
    • Company van supplied for work-related travel.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week
