White Arkitekter is hiring an architect/BIM manager to join its team in London. White Arkitekter, founded in 1951 in Gothenburg, is one of Scandinavia’s leading architectural practices with over 500 employees. The London studio, established in 2015, focuses on sustainable urban masterplans, affordable housing, healthcare and cultural buildings, blending Scandinavian expertise with UK needs. In 2023, we won the Dezeen Awards “Architect of the year.”

White Arkitekter’s London office is seeking an experienced architect/BIM Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality architectural projects while leading the effective implementation of BIM processes across design teams. The role combines architectural design, technical coordination, digital delivery and project information management.

The successful candidate will be both a capable architect and a confident BIM lead, able to work across design stages, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage model standards and ensure that project information is structured, accurate and aligned with client, regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Architectural design and delivery: contribute to the design and technical development of projects across relevant RIBA stages; support project teams in producing coordinated drawings, schedules, specifications and design information; review design information for quality, consistency, technical robustness and compliance with the project brief; assist in resolving design coordination issues with consultants, contractors and wider project stakeholders; support planning, tender, technical design, construction and handover processes as required; maintain a strong understanding of Building Regulations, statutory requirements, sustainability targets and relevant sector guidance.
  • BIM management: lead the implementation of BIM standards and workflows across projects; develop, maintain and manage BIM Execution Plans, model production delivery tables, information requirements and project BIM protocols; establish and manage Revit project templates, model structures, naming conventions, worksets, shared coordinates, parameters and family standards; coordinate federated models and support regular clash detection, model audits and design coordination reviews; ensure BIM delivery aligns with ISO 19650 principles, client information requirements and project‑specific digital deliverables; manage model health, file performance, data consistency and information exchange processes; support the production of COBie, asset data, schedules and structured project information where required; liaise with external consultants, contractors, and clients on BIM coordination, information exchange and digital deliverables.
  • Digital leadership and quality assurance: provide guidance and training to architectural teams on BIM workflows, Revit standards and digital best practice; support the development and improvement of practice‑wide BIM standards, libraries, templates and QA procedures; undertake regular model reviews and issue reports highlighting risks, coordination matters and required actions; promote efficient, consistent and high‑quality digital production across the studio; support innovation in digital design, including automation, data management, visualisation and interdisciplinary coordination tools; contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement across projects.

Required skills and experience:

  • ARB‑registered architect or equivalent architectural qualification.
  • Strong experience delivering architectural projects using Revit.
  • Proven experience in BIM management or digital coordination on complex projects.
  • Good working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management principles.
  • Experience preparing BIM Execution Plans, managing model standards and coordinating federated models.
  • Strong technical architectural knowledge and ability to support design development across RIBA stages.
  • Confident working with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, landscape, civil and specialist consultants.
  • Excellent understanding of drawing production, model coordination, quality assurance and information exchange.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical and digital coordination issues.
  • Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance design quality, technical delivery, programme requirements and digital standards.

Software skills (essential):

  • Revit.
  • BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Navisworks or equivalent model review software.
  • AutoCAD.
  • Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Dynamo.
  • Rhino/Grasshopper.
  • Enscape/Twinmotion.
  • OneClick LCA or other sustainability/carbon assessment tools.
  • COBie/asset data management tools.

Personal attributes:
