Role Description

This is a hybrid role based from home and at our HQ in Thrapston for a Designer & Estimator. The responsibilities include designing and planning commercial kitchens and restaurant layouts, preparing cost estimates, collaborating with clients to understand their requirements, and ensuring that all designs align with industry standards and regulations. The role will also involve coordinating with suppliers, preparing technical drawings, and offering expert advice to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in commercial kitchen and restaurant design, kitchen layout planning, and technical drawing creation
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, preparing cost estimates, and financial planning related to project execution
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and sustainable design principles
  • Proficiency in relevant design software, such as CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) and Revitt software
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Prior experience in the catering, restaurant, or bakery equipment industry is an advantage
