Part 1 - Architectural Assistant Placement

Days

  • Part time / 3 days per week
  • Role and responsibilities
  • Assists in the design and specification of building projects, ensuring compliance with current standards, regulations, and best practice guidance.
  • Assist in the production and development of technical drawings and digital models using industry-standard software, including Auto CAD, Revit, and Rhino, while developing technical expertise and contributing to project delivery.
  • Produce high-quality physical models to communicate design concepts, technical solutions, and project proposals.
  • Supports the progression of projects through key statutory processes such as bids and stage reports, where applicable.
  • Works as required, between teams including team support and marketing.
  • Attends site visits and inspections to develop a practical understanding of construction processes, site operations, and the successful delivery of projects.
  • Engages proactively and professionally with the team and clients to deliver a high standard of service, mindful of commercial and project constraints.
  • Criteria
  • Holds a relevant undergraduate degree in Architecture (Part 1 or equivalent).
  • Has communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the team and clients.
  • Demonstrates skills in graphic and visual communications.
  • Has a sound understanding of architectural and engineering design principles, theory, and application in practice.
  • Ability to contribute effectively both within a collaborative team environment and when working independently.
  • Shows initiative, anticipating needs and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software, including Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design), and Microsoft Office.
