Whitby Wood is looking for a senior structural engineer who is passionate about sustainability and keen to work in a collaborative environment. We have a position available in our London office. This is a terrific opportunity to join a thriving practice and contribute to overall business development through involvement in our internal development groups.
Responsibilities:
- You will need to be a dab hand with a pencil and understand how to get your sketches built.
- You will also need to be able to command the respect of colleagues and clients, and be experienced in successfully leading teams across a number of projects.
- This capability should be matched by excellent interpersonal skills and a readiness to represent us at meetings with clients and architects.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years' experience, with a minimum of one year's experience at an established engineering practice in the UK.
- Chartered with ICE or IStructE.
- Strong interest in architecture and the relationship between structural engineering and architectural design.
- Ability and enjoyment in communicating with a pencil, taking sketches to constructed frames: understanding how one leads to the other.
- A portfolio of built projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, ETABS, SAFE and Rhino preferred.
