As Commercial and Pricing Analyst for our restaurant business you will work within our wider restaurants product and brand team to shape our future food strategy across our 1,200 hotels and branded restaurants as we move into the next stage of our business growth programme to grow our Food and beverage business. Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will also work with teams in commercial, finance, marketing and product development to provide detailed analysis and insight, trend data and performance tracking across our food range strategy to support effective decision making to ensure we are delivering the right product position for our customers.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible for implementing and evolving our food strategy through:
- Providing a clear view of Whitbread’s food pricing position and range recommendations across our hotels and restaurants understanding strengths, weaknesses across both local and nationally, whilst keeping up to date on industry trends and innovation within the F&B industry.
- Responsible for implementing, measuring and optimising agreed pricing strategies across our restaurant business that will both deliver agreed market position and sales targets and also offer value for our guests.
- Track success of campaigns and promotions and trials, providing key recommendations, monitor potential risks and measure KPI performance.
- Provide key insight and analysis into range and menu decisions to ensure that menu or campaigns deliver against KPIs and agreed objectives.
- Analyse MI data, market and guest insights to identify opportunities to deliver effective pricing strategies to maximise performance and profitability across dish and range level that will drive growth opportunities for food performance.
What we need
Ideally you will be working within a similar analyst role with similar category experience and good knowledge of F&B industry or have experience gained working within a merchandising/pricing/range planning role gained within retail business working with commercial data. Strong analytical and commercial acumen with experience in interpreting multiple data sources and able to make informed recommendations to improve and enhance our pricing and range strategy. Have excellent communications skills and the ability to engage and influence across multiple internal customers. Flexible and adaptable, you have the ability to manage own workload yet respond to changing business priorities. You are naturally a self-motivated individual who is keen to make a difference, and also has the ability to challenge and question making objective recommendations.
