We are looking to hire a Travel Management Company Manager (TMC Manager). At Premier Inn we have many channels, business to consumer (B2C), Business to Business (B2B), working with Leisure Tours Companies and also working with Travel Management Companies – all to do with booking hotel rooms for Premier Inn.
The purpose of this role is to be an account manager/relationship manager with the number of TMCs that you’ll work with. Your remit will be to develop account plans with the TMC businesses assigned; ensuring that we are hitting the growth targets we have set.
Part of your role will also be to hunt down new business within your current accounts and source new connections across the TMC landscape. You’ll do this by understanding the current business and the opportunities available to go after. You’ll also be going through and agreeing contract renewals and revisions; working with the Head of Indirect Sales and the wider team to achieve this.
There will be a requirement to hold quarterly and annual reviews to analyse business trends as well as creating monthly reports. There will also be the opportunity to represent Premier Inn hotels at Trade Shows, usually between 3 and 5 per year.
You will look after a handful of medium to large accounts which have multiple £m worth of revenue to Premier Inn. The TMC companies are likely to have international presence, and your accounts may be across UKI and will require engagement with the German account team.
We are looking for someone who has travel industry experience, either within the supplier/TMC ecosystem or as a corporate buyer at a corporate company; working in some kind of relationship management, account management or sales experience. You’ll also need to be comfortable with using, interpreting information and data to understand trends, patterns and opportunities and keeping up to date with changes and developments within business travel.
