This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing SME with plans to progress to Management Accountant and beyond. You will work in a supportive environment with mentors focused on development and qualifications over the next few years.
Role
- Assisting Financial Controller with producing management accounts and delivering timely financial analysis
- Working with the FC & FD on commercial finance analysis across products and services and identifying potential cost savings in advance
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, VAT returns and month end duties
- Bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments & monitoring cash flow
- Assisting wider finance with transactional duties including purchase & sales ledger when required
- Supporting ongoing projects to improve systems, processes and efficiencies internally and for the future
Experience / Qualifications
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified (you MUST have sat exams, not just exemptions)
- 3+ years experience in a finance role including month end experience
- Ambitious and keen to progress quickly under the guidance of the Financial Controller
- Experience in a growing SME is highly desirable
