Finance Assistant / Sales Ledger
Based: Bury (hybrid working 2-3 days in the office after training)
Salary: £30k-£35k + benefits including private healthcare, enhanced pension

Whitaker Smith are exclusively working with a fantastic growing SME in Bury looking to recruit a Finance Administrator / Finance Assistant into their small finance team.
This is a varied, hands-on role with a real focus on invoicing, data and Excel reporting. Around 70% of the role will initially involve raising sales invoices and working with large spreadsheets, alongside supporting the wider finance team wherever needed
Role:
- Raising and processing sales invoices through Xero
- Working with large Excel spreadsheets and data sets
- Using VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and SUMIFS to manipulate and reconcile data
- Supporting purchase invoice processing when required
- Bank and other finance reconciliations
- Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
- Getting involved across the finance function wherever additional support is needed
- Supporting Financial Controller with analysis for month end and new business ventures when required
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and enjoys getting into the detail with the initiative to help out when required. You will need good Excel skills and previous experience of raising invoices is essential.
This role will start off a couple of weeks in the office for training then only require 2-3 days in the office each week so you must be confident in your ability & able to work autonomously
