A fantastic, rapidly expanding PE backed SME is entering an exciting period of growth and change over the next 2-3 years. This is a newly created role to shape their commercial finance function where you will play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting and supporting decision-making across the business. There is a great opportunity to progress to future Finance Manager/Financial Controller in a well-rounded role as the business grows.
Responsibilities:
- Providing financial insight to support multiple areas of the business including sales, commercial, pricing decisions and margin improvement ideas.
- Business Partnering with sales, customer services, SLT, wider business in all areas delivering financial analysis.
- Providing ad-hoc reports to the CFO and board to drive commercial decisions.
- Working with billings/commercial running revenue recognition processes across recurring, billing cycles, customer changes and more.
- Continuous improvement involvement across processes & becoming a super-user on the newly implemented finance system.
- Supporting board reporting packs adding commentary.
- Assisting with budgeting & forecasting processes working with stakeholders.
- Variance analysis, revenue analysis and hitting month-end close deadlines.
- Assisting with month end duties when required.
Experience:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified or finalist.
- Revenue experience from any industry beneficial but not essential.
- Management accounts & general finance knowledge essential.
- This could be a great role for a management accountant with commercial acumen, strong communication skills and attention to detail to make the move to a commercially focused role.
