We are looking for a talented, motivated and child-centred teaching assistant to join our caring and aspirational team. You must have humility, a commitment to professional development, and a commitment to engaging with and acting upon research to provide children with excellent learning opportunities. We wish to appoint a candidate for the role who is community-focused and who shares our values of Child-centred, Collaboration, Curiosity and Challenge, whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the centre of all that we do.

We welcome applications from both experienced teaching assistants and teaching assistants about to take their first steps into the classroom.
Applicants must have the following:
- NPQ Level 2 or above is essential
- Knowledge and experience of teaching and scaffolding children’s learning in a KS1 and KS2 classroom
- Practical knowledge of strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour
- Excellent skills and experience of teaching phonics (Little Wandle trained desirable but training will be provided)
- Ability to be an outstanding teaching assistant with a creative and energetic approach to teaching and learning
- Capability to demonstrate positive, high-quality interactions with young children
- A flexible and willing approach to always stay curious about learning and be fully involved in all Trust aims and objectives
- Ability to build and maintain positive, effective relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills and desire to work as a proactive member of a complex team
- Excellent IT skills
- Experience of assisting in the development of individual and group SEND plans and resources
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering learning activities
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Promote inclusion and help maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers

- Has experience working with children, particularly those with SEN
- Communicates clearly and effectively with children and adults
- Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children learn
- Works well as part of a team but can also use their initiative
- Is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils
