We are looking for an Assistant Designer to join our Whistles Head Office team in London. Reporting into the Senior Designer, your focus will be supporting the design and development of the Whistles Womenswear collections, specialising in Outerwear, Jackets and Separates.

What you'll do:

  • Assisting the Design Team to facilitate the smooth running of the design process from sketch to supplier
  • Researching general trends and product categories
  • Comp shopping
  • Assisting with the preparation of design packs to issue to manufacturers
  • Assisting with the construction of mood boards and packs for trend presentations

Who you'll be:

  • Experience in a similar role as a general studio assistant involved in all aspects of the design process
  • Have good drawing skills
  • Good understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator & C.A.D.
  • Excellent trend awareness
  • Have a positive and can-do approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Good teamwork and inter-personal skills
