Whistle PR is growing – and we’re looking for a social media manager to grow with us. This is an exciting new role within our team – one born from our expanding campaigns and the ever-increasing demand for standout social content.
You’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of organic social media accounts across B2B and B2C clients, and Whistle’s own channels delivering the execution, content scheduling, community management and reporting, while working to strategies set by the Social Media Account Director.
Skill Requirements & Responsibilities- Manage retained social media clients and Whistle’s own channels day-to-day.
- Schedule and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook & more.
- Draft captions and adapt tone of voice by style.
- Community management across all social channels.
- Proactive content ideas aligned to strategy.
- Client communication for daily queries and updates.
- Light in-app video editing and static design (Canva / CapCut).
- Maintain content calendars and posting schedules.
- Monthly reporting across all assigned accounts.
- Support paid social reporting with basic insights.
- Agency support by assisting with pitch decks and audits.
- Work collaboratively with our PR team to align content with wider campaigns and brand objectives.
- Stay on top of what’s trending in culture, news, and on platforms – and jump on relevant moments.
- Be proactive and agile – creating killer content on the go when needed.
- Deputising when needed for the social media account director.
- 2-3 years agency or in-house social experience.
- Confident across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and major social channels – you know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to content.
- Strong copywriting ability and confident client communicator.
- A good level of performance analysis.
- Organised, deadline-driven, and a self-starter.
- Comfortable working under direction and to own initiative.
- Creative, curious, and full of ideas – someone who’s excited to try things, take risks, and learn fast.
- The ability to create content at a good level (Canva / CapCut / Veed).
- Comfortable behind the camera and, if needed, confident in front of it too.
