Join our busy and fast-paced Transport team as a Transport Supervisor, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Transport Manager to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service across our fleet. You'll help ensure daily transport operations run smoothly, planning vehicle movements, coordinating resources, monitoring SLAs, and supporting regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with strong operational experience, great attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset. You’ll also support team performance, develop staff, and drive continuous improvement across transport processes, while making sure we stay compliant with all safety, legal, and company standards.
About the Role
What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage Van & HGV fleet movements daily
- Monitor and ensure timely collections and deliveries within SLAs
- Support maintenance of O’Licence compliance and vehicle condition
- Lead and support the driver and transport team, including agencies
- Handle day-to-day admin, including tachograph analysis and paperwork
- Monitor costs, report on KPIs, and contribute to operational improvement
- Support and implement change initiatives across transport operations
- Ensure health & safety, legal compliance, and accident investigations
Additional Info
Rotating shifts: Mon–Fri / Tue–Sat. You must be flexible to work outside standard hours when needed, and be able to provide support away from the normal location of work on occasion, as required by the business.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced transport environment
- Strong understanding of UK/EU driving regulations & tachograph law
- Excellent team leadership, communication, and planning skills
- Comfortable working independently and making quick decisions
- Confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good local and national geographical knowledge
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- HGV licence + Driver CPC
- Management CPC qualification
- Experience with Isotrak, Paragon, or similar systems
