About the Role
As a Whistl HGV Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods on pre-planned, designated routes. We operate a collection and injection to carrier model, giving you a more structured and predictable day. You’ll be representing the Whistl brand, delivering exceptional service with every journey and helping ensure our customers’ goods arrive on time and in perfect condition.
As an HGV Driver at Whistl, you will:
- Operate and maintain HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.

- Weekend Working Allowance: Up to £200/month for weekend shifts as part of your contractual schedule

Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A valid Class 1 (Cat C+E) and Class 2 (Cat C) licence and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification (the cost of renewals required during employment will be covered by Whistl)
- Digital tachograph card
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents and a strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to handle physical demands
- Good communication skills to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
