We are looking for a proactive Shift Manager to join our team in Lutterworth, working with internationally recognised, market-leading brands. About the Role

As a Shift Manager, you will oversee depot operations during your shift, managing staff, processes, and resources to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will help maintain high service standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and Cost & Resource Management: Oversee all critical shift processes, ensuring compliance with SLAs and SOPs. Support shift supervisors in managing resources, workflows, and stakeholder coordination, allocating shift resources efficiently to balance cost control with service quality.
  • Leadership & Staff Management: Communicate effectively with teams, providing clear updates on performance and objectives. Monitor attendance, conduct, and performance, offering coaching and development, and ensure staff receive proper training. Deputise for the Operations Manager when needed.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understand customer needs, ensuring smooth operations and quick issue resolution.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all staff, including agency workers, follow Health & Safety policies and record and report any incidents, accidents, or near misses accurately.
  • Consumables & Asset Control: Manage and report on consumables, ensuring optimal usage and availability.

Requirements
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Experience in a similar operational environment, including managing a team.
  • Decision-making & problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled in team motivation, task prioritisation, and organisation.
  • Ability to analyse KPIs, report insights, and suggest improvements.
  • Knowledge of risk assessments & health & safety protocols.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other IT systems for performance monitoring.
  • Flexible approach, with willingness to work across shifts and multiple locations when required.

Shift 13:00hrs - 22:00hrs any 5 over 7 days.
