As a Whistl HGV Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods on pre‑planned, designated routes. This isn’t a stressful multi‑drop role – we operate a collection and injection to carrier model, giving you a more structured and predictable day. As an HGV Driver at Whistl, you will:
- Operate and maintain HGV vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the timely and secure delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification (the cost of renewals required during employment will be covered by Whistl).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents and a strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle physical demands.
- Good communication skills to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
